Riley Keough
Danielle Riley
Keough is an American actress. She was born in Santa Monica (California) to
musicians Lisa Marie Presley & Danny Keough, she is a grandchild of
actress Priscilla Presley as well as singer Elvis Presley. Keough was born in
Hawaii by her father, as well as in Los Angeles by her mother. Keough also
spent time in California as well as Tennessee with her mother. At the age of 15
Keough started modelling. She was a part of Dolce & Gabriel's fashion
shows, Christian Dior's, and on Vogue's cover. Keough made her film debut at
age 20, appearing in a supporting part in the musical biopic The Runaways
(2010), as Marie Currie. She then starred in the independent thriller film The
Good Doctor (2011) followed by the horror movie Jack & Diane (2012)
prior to being assigned a minor role in Steven Soderbergh's comedy film Magic
Mike (2012). After appearing in Yellow and Kiss of the Damned in 2012, Keough
was cast in the big-budget action film Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). In 2016,
Keough had her breakthrough role as a law student-turned-escort in the first
season of the anthology series The Girlfriend Experience, executive-produced by
Soderbergh and based on his 2009 film of the same name. Her performance was
highly praised and was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best
Performance of an Actress in a Television limited Series or Motion Picture.
Keough's performance as an attractive, young, straight-laced woman in American
Honey (2017) won the actress more praise. She received an Independent Spirit
Award nomination. The following year, Keough starred the apocalyptic horror
film It Comes at Night (2017) as well as reuniting with Soderbergh for the
heist film Logan Lucky. The actress then appeared in a number of thrillers and
horror films in 2018, including Lars von Trier's The House That Jack Built and
the neo-noir film Under the Silver Lake, and Hold the Dark. Keough was the lead
in The Lodge, a psychological horror film. Zola is Keough's comedy-drama
sequel. Keough plays the character Sandy Harrison in Netflix's 2020 release of
The Devil All the Time.
