Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was born to Gayle
(Gaston) who was the national Director of Mary Kay and Freddie Wright. She was
born and raised in San Diego. At the age of 14, she started her professional
career as a model. She worked in Paris and Japan. When she finished high
school, she made the choice to become an actress. She was given a role on the
soap opera Santa Barbara (1984) and was nominated for three Daytime Emmys. Dane
Witherspoon was her fellow cast participant, and she got married to the actor
in 1986. She starred as the princess bride (1987) in the role of the title.
Following her departure from Santa Barbara, she was offered the lead in Denial
(1990) as well as Jason Patric. She was introduced to Sean Penn in 1990 while
she was appearing in State of Grace (1990). They had a daughter Dylan Frances
with him and a son called Hopper Jack. Robin was back in Hollywood with Tara
which was one of her most significant roles of her career, after taking an
absence. She was a stunning actress , and a phenomenal performer. She was in
Toys (1992) which was which was a comedy starring Robin Williams. It was a very
funny performance. Wright played the role of Jenny in the blockbuster hit
Forrest Gump (1994), in the lead role with Tom Hanks. In recognition of her performance
as Jenny Wright, she received an nomination for a Golden Globe Award. She was
offered a minor part in The Crossing Guard (1995) along with Jack Nicholson.
After refusing 14 roles, she was offered the title role in MGM/UA’s Moll
Flanders (1996). It was directed by Pen Densham and featured Morgan Freeman,
Stockard Channing, and Morgan Freeman. Then, she appeared alongside William
Hurt in Erin Dignam’s Loved (1997).
