Ayelet Zurer
Ayelet Zurer, one of Israel's most loved
actresses, is an extremely special person. She was born in Tel Aviv and was
first noticed by Hollywood when Steven Spielberg cast her in her first
English-speaking film role as Eric Bana’s wife in Munich (2005). Since moving
to the United States, Zurer has played in Studio films such as Sony Pictures'
Vantage Point featuring Dennis Quaid and William Hurt, Samuel Goldwyn's
Fugitive Pieces with Stephen Dillane, Paul Schrader's Adam Resurrected in the
role of Jeff Goldblum and Willem Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons,
opposite Tom Hanks, Darling Companion, an ensemble Lawrence Kasdan cast
featuring Diane Keaton, Kevin Kline and Warner Bros. Man Of Steel in the role
of Russell Crow. She also filmed Rodrigo Garcia, Last days in the desert, which
she starred in alongside Ewan McGregor in addition to waiting for the release
date of the film The Last Knights by the Japanese director Kazuaki Kiriya in
the role of Clive Owen. She recently won the Gold Nymph Award for Outstanding
Actress in the Drama Series at the 54th festival of television of Monte-Carlo.
She was recognized for her part in the television series "Hostages".
Ayelet received the Israeli Film And Television Academy Award for her leading
role in Nina's Tragedies. She was nominated for her performances in the movies
Only Dogs Run Free (from the Holy Apple Field), Desperado, Rutenberg, and The
Dybuk from Holy Apple Field. Zurer was awarded the Haifa International Film
Festival critic prize , and was awarded a star on Haifa’s "film
boulevard" for her international and local accomplishments. Zurer received
the Israeli Television Academy Award, due to her performance in "In
Treatment" the critically popular television series that was adapted to
American TV by HBO. She was also nominated for appropriateness in 2014's best
drama "Shtisel", and received the award for best actress in drama for
her role as a brilliant surgeon facing the dilemma of life and death in
Hostages. The show was licensed to BBC4 and Canal Plus and the American ABC.
Golbary is Israel's biggest women's fashion company, is her "face".
She is a writer, producer and illustrator. She's also co-author on
"Shorts" the first adult book by Gabi Nitazn. Ayelet is working on a
couple of projects in Israel as well as the US. She expressed desire to
collaborate internationally with directors from around the world since she
believes in joining with unknown directors and writers.
