Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
from America. She previously worked as an anchor for TV on ABC News. She is
known for her role as co-anchor on Good Morning America Weekend from 2014 until
2018 and also in her role as co-host on The View from 2015 to 2018. She was
also co-anchor on America This Morning and World News Now. After graduating,
she worked in several communications-related jobs including an operations
position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Due to the limited
opportunities on TV the company employed her in radio sales. After one year
working as a production assistant for WKEF/WRGT, she was eventually in a
position to report and anchor at times. She was the weekend anchor and weekday
sports anchors for WCPO TV, Cincinnati, between 2002 and 2005. She was hired as
a sports journalist at NBC's Chicago affiliate WMAQ-TV from November 2005 until
December 2011 after her contract had expired. She was appointed by ABC News'
news division in December. She made her network debut on January 2, 2012 on
ABC's World News Now, and America This Morning. She was a correspondent as well
as fill-in for Good Morning America during this time. Later, she was elevated
to become a New-York-based reporter for all ABC News programs. The last episode
of World News Now and America This Morning was broadcast on January 22nd 13.
Following the time that Bianna Golodryga resigned to join Yahoo!, her debut as
co-anchor of Good Morning America Weekend was made August 9, 2014. News. ABC
announced that she would be joining The View as a cohost for season 19. On
August 3 that year, it was announced that they renewed her contract until the
end of its 20th season. Season 21 also got renewed thanks to the co-hosting
role. Her most popular appearance was during the 22nd and 21st seasons of the
series.
